Welcome to our Training Program for Mobility Mentors for young refugees
What is this about?
In this training program you learn on how to support and guide a young person with refugee backgrounds (18-35 years) to access and participate in cross-border youth mobility and in particular in a cross-border voluntary service in Europe.
Who is this training for?
Whether you:
- are youth worker or social operator already working with young people with refugee backgrounds in Europe or
- are just interested to learn about the topic or
- want to support a friend to participate in a voluntary service in another European country or
- are a young person that just recently arrived in Europe yourself and want to explore your opportunities
→ this training is free and open to anyone who wants to support a young person with refugee backgrounds to participate in a cross-border mobility in Europe.
How can I access the Training Program, what does it contain and how long does it take?
Our Mobility Mentor Training Program is composed by different modules that you can do by yourself online (self-paced) or that need to be done in groups with a trainer, both online or off-line. You can find all materials (also those for the trainers) for free download in the section below.
The self-paced learning modules can be accessed on the HOP Platform.
To be able to do the modules on the HOP platform, you need to create your account on HOP or SALTO-YOUTH.

Duration:
The duration of the self-paced modules can be found on the HOP Platform. Each module should take you around 1-3h, however, the duration depends on your learning process and tempo. The great thing about self-paced online learning is that you can interrupt or pause your learning at any time and continue at a later stage.
For the training sessions with a trainer, the duration of each session can be found in our training guide below and will depend as well on the size of the group and additional activities you might plan.
Once I have concluded the Training, how can I become part of the Mobility Mentor network?
We have a network of Mobility Mentors in different European countries, mainly in the countries partnering in this project (France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Germany, Bulgaria).

Will I receive a certificate at the end of the training?
Yes! For the self-paced modules on the HOP Platform, a digital certificate in English will be automatically issued once you have concluded the modules.
Can I do the training also in another language?
At the moment, the Training is only available in English.
We aim at translating the materials to other languages in the future.
